... Cause I'm saved by the Bell

So I was just surfing a little in my office while Cece was on the laptop on the bed and I ran across these little gems on Digg.com. They were actually on TMZ's website ... which is a little disappointing to me because I think that TMZ is ultimately going to be responsible for the fall of western civilization. Guess it was fine while it lasted ... and without further delay here it is ... I present you with "A Night Out with Mr. Belding".

These are really awful and I apologize wholeheartedly, I just couldn't resist.

Yes!!!

I saw this at lunch and absolutely lost it. This is pure comic entertainment and yes I'm lowbrow.

Been a little lazy with just putting videos on here, will try to do a real post soon.

Some Cool Eye Candy

So I kept wondering what I should put up to actually make it worth time for you out there to read this post. After some thought about it I thought I would put up some videos that I'm guessing you should find interesting. The first one is not a new song but I think you will understand why I love it. Especially at the end when you see how they did it. I actually originally saw this video on a RES Magazine dvd but thought about it again when Cece and I went to see Ladytron at the Gothic Theater. A group called Datarock opened up for them and they had a song called Computer Camp Love which was the catalyst for me remembering this video. It's by a group called Grandaddy and the song is called "Jed's Other Poem"

I'm sure it's not surprising why that video caught my eye. I also wanted to include the Datarock video as well.

Here's a video that I fricking love. There's something awesome about slow motion violence. It's a little bit of a build up but when you get to 1:45 that's when it starts getting interesting. And when 2:12 rolls around I'm actually cackling.

Because the people's faces move so crazily Cece doesn't think that the footage is real. I other hand know that it looks like that because it's extreme slow motion. I actual saw a brainiac episode that showed somebody getting bitch slapped and somebody breaking a block of wood both in super slow motion. They look a lot like the Robyn video.

This is a pretty cool video and is very different than most of the videos that I actually seek out. It's from Portishead's newest album Third and the song is called "The Rip". I always appreciate animation and I bet this took forever to finish. I also bet it was done entirely by hand (or at least it looks that way). The song itself I feel gets really good at the 2:20 mark.

For the last video I wanted to have it be a little lighter so I am leaving you with a video that I think is pure comic genius. Please watch it till the very end, it's worth it.

One other music video that I really wanted to put on this post was DJ Rupture's video "Flop We". I just couldn't find it, so if you think you might have better luck than me then you shouldn't definitely try to find it. It's a great video and a cool song.

Buffalo, Wyoming .... More Than a One Horse Town

This 4th of July Weekend Cece and I went up to Buffalo, Wyoming so that I could meet her family and also so I could see the place that shaped the woman I love. Traffic going up was OK and as always cleared out as soon as we got past Fort Collins and Cheyenne. The only hiccup on the drive up was Charlie throwing up 3 times in the Cece's car on the way up. This resulted in windows immediately being rolled down and Cece trying to not crash as she was dry heaving.

I ended up liking the town quite a bit and felt that it definitely had charm. I can see why C holds it so dear to her heart. The downtown was small but was a nice downtown area for a mountain town. The backdrop is the Big Horn Mountains and being from Colorado Springs I definitely appreciate having mountains to the west.

On the 4th Cece's Mom, Cece and I went to Billings, Montana (which was a couple of hours away) to do a little shopping. I was informed that in that area of the state traveling a couple hours anywhere is not out of the ordinary. We had some lunch, found a couple things to buy and headed back to Buffalo that evening. The next day Cece decided to show me around the town. We went to Dash Inn for lunch and had some delicious dashburgers (yes Cece had one too) with potato wedges. After that we drove around the park, saw all the schools she went to and she also showed me all the houses she lived in. After this was done we decided to get a drink downtown and went to the Occidental. The bar has an old west historic feel which i actually liked and felt that it was definitely appropriate. After putting a couple back a couple of Cece's friends who were in town for a wedding met us at the bar. They were very funny and had a bunch of stories that reminded me of my friends.

After we left there we continued home to Cece's family house and they made a nice dinner. That night we ended up playing Texas Hold Em (C's dad got all our money) and Dominoes (where i made a new record for worst score in WYO history). Cece's family was very welcoming and nice and made the stay very enjoyable for me. The drive back wasn't too bad except for a couple spots and Charlie didn't up chuck on the home (amazing what a difference that makes for the drive). Joe and Hillary had to drop somebody off at DIA so they ended up meeting us at the house once we got home and we had some dinner, drinks and played some Mario Kart.

Thanks Cece and Cece's Family for making this a very enjoyable and pleasant weekend!!!

James' Reoccurring Nightmare

I imagine that James makes up in a cold sweat countless nights dreading the situation of being in this bathroom and having me come in the door cackling.
